Coming Soon: Deposit, Trade, and Convert S (Sonic) on BitMEX Spot
On 4 February 2025 at 04:00 UTC, S (Sonic) – the Sonic Network token – is coming to BitMEX for users to deposit, trade, and convert the S token on BitMEX Spot.
You will be able to deposit and trade S here and convert S from Tether (and vice versa) here.
This listing comes as part of the transition of BitMEX’s support of the Fantom to Sonic migration. Users who have yet to withdraw their FTM (ERC-20) tokens on BitMEX are strongly encouraged to do so as soon as possible. About S on BitMEX
The addition of S on BitMEX means users will soon be able to:
- Trade S/USDT on BitMEX Spot via the open order book here.
- Convert Tether into S (and vice versa) with no fees nor any need to worry about slippage.
- Deposit and HODL S in their BitMEX Wallet.
- Note: There will be a minimum deposit requirement of 10 S.

What is S (Sonic)?
S (Sonic) is the native token of Sonic network, an EVM Layer-1 chain. S can be used for governance, staking, and fee generation. All existing FTM (Fantom) tokens will be migrating to S (Sonic), and holders of FTM tokens will be able to upgrade their tokens via the Sonic Labs website.
